Destruction

Its story

Destruction

Destruction represents the warlike civilizations, ruthless factions, and relentless powers of Averath that believe strength is the ultimate measure of survival and dominion. Across the world, its peoples have forged their identities through conquest, conflict, and the constant struggle for power. They are not united beneath a single ruler, culture, or purpose, nor do they necessarily consider themselves allies. Orcish warbands, undead legions, brutal kingdoms, and other forces may all belong to Destruction while pursuing entirely different ambitions and fighting wars of their own. Some seek territory and resources, others hunger for power or vengeance, and some march to war simply because conflict has become inseparable from their existence. Rivalries between the factions of Destruction can be as violent as their wars against other realms, and alliances are often born from necessity rather than loyalty. Destruction does not represent mindless chaos, nor are all who belong to it driven solely by the desire to destroy. Its civilizations can possess traditions, hierarchies, beliefs, strongholds, and ancient cultures of their own. What defines them is their willingness to impose their will through strength, conquest, fear, or overwhelming force. Where Order seeks to preserve and defend what has been built, Destruction is willing to tear down existing powers and reshape the world through conflict. Yet even the forces of Destruction recognize threats that cannot be conquered or controlled. They hold no allegiance to the Wilds and are no allies of Corruption, whose uncontrolled spread threatens their lands and armies as readily as those of their enemies. Across Averath, the banners of Destruction rise wherever ambition, conquest, and the struggle for supremacy ignite the fires of war.
